Weird, worldwide noises
"Investigative reporter Linda Moulton Howe will discuss the large number of strange and unexplained horn-like sounds filling the air since March 2011 and the possible cause. She'll also talk about the increased number of dolphins stranded in Cape Cod & the New Jersey shore since January 2012."
I've heard extremely anomalous sounds here in the SW, obviously very loud but emanating from off in the distance in totally barren high desert scrub. A throbbing motor sound, unlike the horn noise so many places experience. Not from machinery or a highway - the interstate is about 40 miles away, and the sound lasted a good twenty minutes.
