No, No, It's Not US/South Korea Provocation At All

Add them to the list.

flashback two weeks ago - G-20 refuses to back US push on China's currency

"Seoul, South Korea – Leaders of 20 major economies on Friday refused to back a U.S.
push to make China boost its currency's value, keeping alive a dispute that raises fears of a Global Trade War amid criticism that cheap Chinese exports are costing American jobs."

North Korea Attack Part Of RAND Plan For Total War?

"The exchange of artillery fire between North and South Korea, which the North says was started by South Korea firing shells during a military drill, could act as the catalyst for a huge new conflict that the RAND Corporation has been lobbying for over the past two years."
"As we warned two years ago, the military-industrial complex has been yearning for a new conflict since the invasion of Iraq some seven and a half years ago."

U.S. and South Korea Balk at Talks With North

"The United States, South Korea and Japan are all balking at China’s request for emergency talks with North Korea over the crisis on the Korean Peninsula, as high-profile military exercises between South Korea and the United States in the Yellow Sea continued on Monday in a show of force."

US and South Korea refuse to push for UN session on Korean situation

"A shiny haired South Korean journalist regaled Japanese reporters with tales of Seoul's prowess.
“We don't need the Security Council,” he said, “not this time, not when we fought back.”
"The UN unceremoniously canceled its Friday press briefing."

November 29, 1864

The Sand Creek Massacre - At Sand Creek on November 29, 1864, Colonel John Chivington led the Colorado Volunteers in a dawn attack on Black Kettle and his band, who had been told they would be safe on this desolate reservation in what was to be the state of Colorado. Around five hundred Cheyenne men, but mostly women and children were raped, slaughtered, and their corpses grotesquely mutilated.

Mask-wearing protestors in D.C. can now be arrested

"Wearing a mask while protesting outside a residence (and now at any demonstration) without telling D.C. police first could now get you arrested.
The D.C. Council has unanimously passed a strongly worded bill to deal with an animal rights group that has been known to wear masks and appear unannounced outside District residents' homes shouting things like "You should die." Residents have been complaining to their council members that they felt "terrorized." Critics of the bill say it's too broad and limits First Amendment rights.

"They scared some people so much that they feel like prisoners in their own homes," said Ward 3 Councilwoman Mary Cheh, who sponsored the Residential Tranquility Act of 2010.

Police can be called, Cheh said, but they don't always have the legal grounds to arrest the protesters.

The animal rights group in question, Defending Animal Rights Today and Tomorrow is the local offshoot of Stop Huntington Animal Cruelty. The international group was set up in 1996 to organize protests against Huntington Life Sciences, a European company that provides animals for corporate science experiments."

Police remove name tags and cover badges at G20 summit

"Nearly 100 Toronto police officers will be disciplined for removing their name tags at the G20 summit, says the city’s police chief who also admitted charges were thrown out against roughly 100 people because the force failed to obtain appropriate arrest warrants.

Many of the people who confronted police over the tumultuous three-days of protests that closed down Toronto’s core said officers were not wearing badge numbers or name tags on their uniforms – allegations that were bolstered by photographs in the media."

No zapping or gate rape for the master class

"Representative John A. Boehner, soon to be the Speaker of the House, has pledged to fly commercial airlines back to his home district in Ohio. But that does not mean that he will be subjected to the hassles of ordinary passengers, including the controversial security pat-downs.

As he left Washington on Friday, Mr. Boehner headed across the Potomac River to Reagan National Airport, which was bustling with afternoon travelers. But there was no waiting in line for Mr. Boehner, who was escorted around the metal detectors and body scanners, and taken directly to the gate."

Nielson Was A Treasure

Later in his acting career Leslie Nielson was the perfect metaphor for all that's wrong with this society, and I think most people laughed their asses off at him and his comedic efforts without realizing it. His deadpan stentorian delivery tried to exude competence and authority but everyone knew inside it was all a cruel joke and the comeuppance was going to be brutally harsh. Much like what's going on today.
One of the best television shows of all time aired in the 80s and only survived for six episodes. It was "Police Squad" and it was a spoof of the endless cop show parade of crime dramas. Nielson's posturing was perfection which served as the perfect straight man to the mayhem he caused all around him. The reason why the show was yanked? Even back then brain dead america didn't understand satire and needed to be told when there was a joke; because the show didn't have a laugh track to alert the droolers when there was a funny, hardly any of the mouthbreathers could figure it out. Surely you must be joking.

US judge says lesbians can be ‘cured’ by male soldiers

"An American judge has been accused of advocating corrective rape for lesbians.
Joe Rehyansky, a part-time magistrate and Vietnam veteran, wrote on conservative news site The Daily Caller that lesbians should be allowed to serve in the military because straight male soldiers could “convert” them.
The Daily Caller swiftly removed some of his remarks but not before they were picked up by other websites.
Mr Rehyansky, of Hamilton County, Tennessee, argued that men were naturally more promiscuous than women and “it fell to men to swing through the trees and scour the caves in search of as many women as possible to subdue and impregnate – a tough job but someone had to do it”.

Then, he claimed that the “promiscuity” of gay men, coupled with HIV, would have “the potential for disastrous health consequences” if gay men were allowed to serve openly in the military.
“Gays spread disease at a rate out of all proportion to their numbers in our population and should be excluded from the military,” he argued.
He continued: “Shouldn’t the overwhelmingly straight warriors who answer their county’s call be spared the indignity of showering with other men who achieve lascivious enjoyment from the sight of those lithe naked bodies, and who may be tempted to seek more than the view?”
Lesbian military personnel, who Mr Rehyansky praised for their “medical and administrative specialties”, should be allowed to serve because they apparently have low sex drives.

His final argument, which has now been removed by The Daily Caller, was as follows: “My solution would get the distaff part of our homosexual population off our collective ‘Broke Back,’ thus giving straight male GIs a fair shot at converting lesbians and bringing them into the mainstream.”

Mr Rehyansky was accused of advocating corrective rape for lesbians by some commentators.

Blogger Amanda Hess sardonically noted: “Once all the lesbians are easily accessible in one place, an army of straight dudes will turn them all straight, presumably through that time-tested tactic of subduing and impregnating women against their will.”

Bomb Kills Iranian Nuclear Scientist

"TEHRAN — Unidentified assailants riding motorcycles launched bomb attacks early on Monday against two Iranian nuclear physicists here, killing one of them and prompting accusations that the United States and Israel were behind the episode, state-controlled media reports said.

The dead scientist was identified as Majid Shahriari, a physics professor at Shahid Beheshti University in northern Tehran, whose wife was injured when a bomb attached to his car was detonated remotely. A second professor at the same university, Fereydoon Abbasi, was injured in a separate, simultaneous attack. His wife was also hurt.

Iranian media reports said the attackers attached bombs to the cars of both academics and detonated them from a distance.

The semi-official Fars news agency declared: “The United States and the Zionist regime perpetrated a terrorist attack on two professors at Shahid Beheshti university."

Not So Juicy Tidbits From Wikileaks

Just like the last data dump from Assange where we didn't learn much of anything new except to distrust his intentions, this bunch of leaks hints seemingly hints at motives and appears to be full of gossip. One wonders at all the advance concern by the fascists. It could even be more sinister. Along with unflattering references and a few smarmy details this disclosure dissemination could be more propaganda diverting peoples' attention from more important things, and could be prompting us to believe government lies. Hence the curious, apparently fake apprehension which gave interest some boost.

• The U.S. spies on the United Nations, monitoring its telecommunications and IT systems.

• Saudi Arabia is lobbying us to attack Iran. Israel is ready to go it alone in such an attack, too, presumably with tacit support from at some Arab states.

• There is 'devastating criticism' of the British military's operations in Afghanistan, but Britain is helping keep Iran policy sane.

• A British royal did something 'inappropriate.'

• The U.S. government has 'serious political criticisms of' British Prime minister David Cameron, but the two governments are 'particularly intimate' in their dealings.

• Hamed Karzai is motivated by paranoia, and by payment in cash.

• Russia's government is somewhat in bed with organized crime.

• ANC flunkies kept Nelson Mandela on a tight leash after his release.

• There is a secret standoff with Pakistan over highly enriched uranium, which the U.S. fears could be 'diverted' to build 'illicit' nuclear weapons.

• There's a plan for unifying Korea after the North collapses, and China's in on it.

• Guantanamo Bay's closure is mired in shifty cash deals with foreign governments to take prisoners. Also, the Afghan government is corrupt, plus ca change.

• Hacking! The Chinese government has owned Google, the Dalai Lama, "American businesses," and more!

• Saudi Arabia pays for the terrorism and Qatar sucks at counterterrorism.

• Our spies have learned that Vladimir Putin and Silvio Berlusconi have some kind of weird bromance going on involving 'lavish gifts' and 'lucrative energy contracts.' Silvio is essentially acting as Putin's man in the EU.

• His power in Russia is absolute, but the bureaucracy there is so epic it allows Putin to be 'ignored.'

• The U.S.is failing to prevent Syria arming Hezbollah.

• The U.S. 'warned' Germany not to arrest CIA agents who bungled a rendition and kidnapped an innocent German citizen.

• The U.S. embassy in Moscow explained the arrangements in Russia like so: Vladimir Putin is Batman and Dmitry Medvedev is Robin.

• Italian foreign minister Franco Frattini described the leaks as "the September 11th of world diplomacy."

• The Daily Mail says that the leaks include an 'unflattering assessment' of the governing coalition in the U.K. The U.S. administration holds it in low regard, says the BBC.

• The BBC also reports that Wikileaks remains down due to an ongoing denial of service attack.

• The White House has fresh condemnation of the disclosures.

• El Pais writes that the U.S. is keeping a close eye on Turkey's 'Islamist' leader Erdogan and believes he has a hidden agenda.

• Der Spiegel reports that the U.S. has an extensive network of spies in the German government that kept it up to speed on Angela Merkel's coalition negotiations. It sees an emergent worldview in the cables.

• More from El Pais: Berlusconi has wild parties, Chavez is isolated, and Gadaffi is worried about fine lines and wrinkles.

McCain: Time to discuss N. Korea 'regime change'

"Sen. John McCain said Sunday it was time to discuss "regime change" in North Korea, but the former Navy combat pilot didn't say how he advocates changing the government in the repressive and secretive dictatorship.

McCain, the top Republican on the Senate Armed Services Committee, said he was not suggesting military action against the North. He said the Chinese, the North's closest ally, should rein in its neighbor, and he accused Beijing of failing to play a responsible role in either the Korean peninsula, where tensions are high because of a recent attack by the North, or the world stage

Fire Set at Mosque Where Terror Suspect Worshipped

"Anger over a Somali-born teen's failed plan to blow up a van full of explosives during Portland's Christmas tree lighting ceremony erupted in arson on Sunday when a fire damaged an Islamic center frequented by the suspect, authorities said.

Police don't know who started the blaze or exactly why, but they believe the Islamic center in Corvallis was targeted because terror suspect Mohamed Osman Mohamud, 19, occasionally worshipped there.

Yosof Wanly, the imam at the Salman Alfarisi Islamic Center, said he was advised by friends to take his family out of their home because of the potential threat of hate crime, and members decried the alleged arson attack. No one was injured, and the fire was contained to one room.

"We know how it is, we know some people due to ignorance are going to perceive of these things and hold most Muslims accountable," Wanly said. "We do what we can, but it's a tough situation."

Protest Over More Meat Markets In The Shitty Little Pariah State

What is it about human flesh that the zionists despise so much?

Women for sale' store highlights sex trafficking in Israel

"In a shopping center in Tel Aviv, women standing in a window display tagged with price tickets, were being offered for sale.

Each woman's price tag detailed her age, weight, height, dimensions and country of origin – written as "Made in...", like a piece of clothing.

It was part of a protest to highlight the problem of human trafficking for the sex industry.

"An estimated 3,000 women are living in Israel today having been smuggled into the country, sold and resold while being assaulted, raped and starved. "

In addition to the display in the Dizengoff Center, people could go to the website Womantogo to look at the girls for sale. To further radicalize the message of the platform, campaign organizers used a product comparisons website in which the "buyer" could compare the range of different women.

When a buyer chose a woman, then clicked the mouse on her image, the buyer was led directly to Womantogo to sign a petition to pressure the Israeli Justice Ministry to back legislation that makes it a crime for men to patronize prostitutes.

Campaigner and attorney Ori Keider explained:
"What we see here today is an example of what’s going on in houses, and basements, and yards in this city, but today we’re showing it in the center of this shopping mall so people can understand. They cannot look away."

Distress and violence meted out to the women (all models) was shown on their faces – a strong motivator for shoppers to sign a petition calling for people who pay for sex to be prosecuted."

Fox Nation readers confuse Onion article with real news

"UPDATE: Editors scrub article, comments from site

It was George Orwell, who first coined the term "memory hole," in his classic novel 1984. For Winston, the book's main character, his full-time job with the Ministry of Truth is to rewrite history, spiriting away the inconvenient details.
Someone like Winston appears to be hard at work behind the scenes at Fox Nation.
This morning, an article and comment thread related to a piece of satire the site and its readers took seriously, went missing.
The page was preserved through Google Cache, but the comment thread, which showed dozens of loyal Fox readers reacting to a joke story from The Onion as if it were real, is gone.

Some of the comments were preserved by Raw Story in the story below.

For a news outlet to retain credibility, standard industry procedure dictates that reporters and editors not only correct mistakes, but acknowledge them as well. Fox Nation had done neither at time of this writing.
It's not a good move for Fox, which was savagely and very publicly mocked by other major online media for passing off satire as if it were actual news.
In the wake of such humiliation, the site's editors can expect to face even greater scrutiny from the online community, especially after vanishing their embarrassment without so much as an explanation or retraction."

Original report follows...

Fox News' opinion website Fox Nation and their readers don't seem to know satire when they see it.
The Fox News sister site re-posted a joke from the satirical website The Onion Friday about President Barack Obama sending a 75,000-word e-mail to the the entire nation. At no point does Fox Nation note that the story is a satire.
The Onion story joked that Obama had "reached the end of [his] rope" and sent out the "rambling" stream of consciousness e-mail that addressed everything from the war in Afghanistan to his live-in mother-in-law.
The story goes on to say that the fake Obama e-mail was 27 megabytes and 127 printed pages.
If Fox Nation knows the story is a joke, they aren't letting on, and many of the comments on the post treat the story as if it were actual news.

"It is really sad that in a time of crisis in this country with troops on foreign soil the economy lack of jobs and now N. Korea once again rattling their saber we have a President sitting in the White House that by what I read in the email is utterly losing it," Goofy1954 wrote. "We can not afford to have him in the White House at such a critical time."

"I must not be on his email list, I didn't get it," another commenter said. "Oh well, I didn't miss anything. He thought running the country was just giving speeches to throngs of people."

"If this story is correct, that he did send out this email, it is very concerning about his current state of mental health," Famnp worried. "I am surprised he would be allowed to send something like this out and if he is not functioning very well why there isn't some attention being paid to his current state."

"This should be enough to have him removed from office immediately......he is now the highest security risk to this nation," Obamababble observed.

"What you are seeing folks is the human unraveling and development of a self-delusional, irrational madman becoming unhinged. Can anyone say Hitler?" Mmttomb3 asked."

I guess it's not so surprising that Fauxsters couldn't figure out it was an Onion piece. This has happened many times in the past. It's the same thing as them forwarding idiotic crap round and round on email lists. It's absolute truth that these people have some sort of short circuit in the brain that doesn't allow them to figure out satire; they simply don't understand humor.
I have no idea why this is, it simply is. Remember when they tried to copy satirical TV shows a few years bac with their "1/2 Hour News Hour"?
"The 1/2 Hour News Hour was an American television news satire show on the Fox News Channel. The program presented news stories from a conservative perspective, using a satirical format pioneered by Saturday Night Live's Weekend Update, This Hour Has 22 Minutes, and The Daily Show.
The first pilot aired on February 18, 2007, and the second on March 4, 2007. Fox News Channel later purchased 13 more episodes of the show, which started airing on May 13, 2007. The show was cancelled and the final episode aired on September 23, 2007."

They even called it the "The Daily Show for conservatives", but it was anything but close to Jon Stewart's style. It absolutely stunk to high heaven, with most everything falling flat on it's face. It's like it was a parody of humor. Everybody involved let his ego get in the way, unfunny punchline jokes needed canned laughter and supposedly snarky bits were only mean spirited insults passed off as humor. It was total disaster because apparently people of that mindset just don't get satire, much like the Greys have no understanding of human emotion.

Land Of The Mass Murdering Liars

Thanksgiving of the Drones

"Just before I arrived in Vietnam in 1970, as a young, gung-ho, kill-a-commie-for-freedom, Australian army captain, President Richard Nixon of the United States ordered the invasion of a neighboring nation. Not a neighbor of America, of course, but a place that was neighbor to the country that had been taken over by America.

During the ten years’ war in Vietnam US Presidents and their foolish and supposedly ‘patriotic’ patsies in the House and Senate sent 58,267 of their fellow citizens to their deaths. The Vietnam Memorial in Washington is a wonderful tribute, but it’s also a dire monument to the everlasting condemnation of wicked morons who imagined they were supporting ‘Freedom’ by sending so many of their country’s soldiers to be killed.

Just like in the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

And in the course of this appalling slaughter in Vietnam it was decided that it was vital to bomb neighboring countries, such as Laos and Cambodia, because Vietnamese forces opposed to the US-installed puppet government of South Vietnam were making use of their territory.

US bombers killed countless numbers of innocent people in North Vietnam, South Vietnam and their neighbors, but in 1970 Nixon decided that this wasn’t enough, so he decided to commit both South Vietnamese and US troops to invade Cambodia. And they went in, and Nixon called it “the most successful military operation of the entire war,” which was the absurd “Mission Accomplished” braggart-boy statement of its day, because the operation had little effect on the war against America in Vietnam, which resulted in defeat of US and South Vietnamese forces, and hastened the collapse of Cambodia into anarchy and vicious genocide.

So what’s the parallel with current events? – It’s simple, and just as potentially catastrophic, because the US is fighting an unwinnable war in Afghanistan and is now bombing a neighboring country, Pakistan, killing lotsa people. There have also been cross-border incursions that are kept very quiet except when they are so incompetent as to be impossible to disguise, as when US helicopters killed three Pakistan Frontier Corps soldiers a few weeks ago in a missile-spraying spree that was based on incorrect information from a deliberately misleading Afghan source.

The military public relations machines tell us that US Special Forces night raids are wonderfully effective. The New York Times reported that “in a 90-day period that ended Nov 11, Special Operations forces were averaging 17 missions a night, conducting 1,572 operations over three months that resulted in 368 insurgent leaders killed or captured, and 968 lower-level insurgents killed and 2,477 captured, according to NATO statistics.”

But of course there are no details given about these operations. According to official sources, not one of them caused the death of any innocent person. We are told that every single raid has been successful and has resulted only in the killing and capturing of 'bad guys'.

But then we come to the one and only special forces operation that has received publicity – because it couldn't be kept quiet – and there is a great big doubt planted in our minds about official declarations that all these wonderfully expert midnight forays result in the death of nobody but bad guys.

Everyone seems to have forgotten October’s US Special Forces shambles of an attempt to rescue a western female hostage held prisoner by a bunch of raggy baggy militants. It resulted in the death of the captive.

When she was killed there was immediate propaganda explanation. It was reported all round the world that she died because one of her captors detonated a suicide vest. The reporting was precise in British papers : “Linda Norgrove, 36, died from serious injuries suffered in the blast – almost certainly caused by a suicide vest held near her by one of her captors.”

Then there was the New York Times, which said that “As American forces closed in, her captors killed her. A suicide vest was found nearby, but it was not clear if it had been detonated or if other explosives had been used to kill Ms Norgrove, according to Western officials in Kabul.” The BBC was fed the line that “officials had confirmed Ms Norgrove was killed by an explosion, almost certainly a suicide vest, detonated by one of her captors.”

Baloney.

And lies.

She was killed by a high explosive grenade thrown by one of the assault team. According to one report, “The use of a fragmentation grenade was first discovered when the taskforce commander in charge of the mission reassessed surveillance video of the attack and saw the Seal toss the grenade into the compound four seconds before the blast.”

So much for the precision of Special Forces attacks. (You don’t use HE grenades in such a situation : Line One, Page One of the Manual.) And we are expected to believe that this was the only flash bang crash raid that has gone wrong.

Then there are the illegal drone strikes inside Pakistan. For example : “A suspected US drone strike in Pakistan's tribal region killed 20 suspected militants Tuesday . . . Two Pakistani intelligence officials said the drone fired four missiles – two at a vehicle and two at a suspected militant compound the vehicle had just left. . . . [the] suspected drone strike was the 92nd this year, compared to 52 strikes in all of 2009.”

So we in the West are now complicit in killing “suspects” within a sovereign country with whom we are not at war.

America, supposedly the wonderful bastion of freedom, has unilaterally and finally destroyed what passed for international law."

Oregon bomb-plot suspect wanted 'spectacular show'

"PORTLAND, Ore. – A Somali-born teenager plotted "a spectacular show" of terrorism for months, saying he didn't mind that children would die if he bombed a crowded Christmas tree-lighting ceremony, according to a law-enforcement official and court documents.

He never got the chance. Mohamed Osman Mohamud, 19, was arrested Friday in downtown Portland after using a cell phone to try to detonate what he thought were explosives in a van, prosecutors said. It turned out to be a dummy bomb put together by FBI agents. Authorities said Mohamud was acting alone."

Expats recalled as North Korea prepares for war

"A mass exodus of North Korean workers from the Far East of Russia is under way, according to reports coming out of the region. As the two Koreas edged towards the brink of war this week, it appears that the workers in Russia have been called back to aid potential military operations.
Vladnews agency, based in Vladivostok, reported that North Korean workers had left the town of Nakhodka en masse shortly after the escalation of tension on the Korean peninsula earlier this week. "Traders have left the kiosks and markets, workers have abandoned building sites, and North Korean secret service employees working in the region have joined them and left," the agency reported."

You don't have any on hand you say? Shame. It only costs $10 for a two week supply and in case of a radiation emergency will keep your thyroid from soaking up radioactive iodine:
"One of the most feared consequences of a nuclear reactor accident or nuclear bomb is the release of a radioactive iodine plume into the environment. Radioactive Iodine (I-131) is a by-product of nuclear fission which occurs only within a nuclear reactor or during detonation of a nuclear bomb. What makes radioactive iodine so dangerous is that the body cannot distinguish it from ordinary iodine. As a result, if swallowed (in contaminated food or water), or inhaled (it can remain in the atmosphere for days), it will be absorbed into the thyroid gland (only the thyroid absorbs iodine) and may lead to thyroid cancer, especially in children."

Turkey Vows Reaction To Israeli Threat

"Erdogan described Israel as full of “uncertainties” and said, “It is not definite what it will do.” He further warned of the prospects of such hostilities, Turkey’s state Anatolia news agency (AA) reported on Thursday.
“Does (Israel) think it can enter Lebanon with the most modern aircraft and tanks to kill women and children, and destroy schools and hospitals, and then expect us to remain silent?” AFP quoted him as saying in the Lebanese capital of Beirut.
The Turkish leader is currently on a two-day visit to the country aimed at strengthening the bilateral ties and voicing support for Beirut in the face of a volatile international situation.
“We will not be silent and we will support justice by all means available to us.”
Ankara has opposed the last round of Tel Aviv’s offensives on southern Lebanon, which killed around 1,200 Lebanese, most of them civilians in 2006.

“In the event of war, the citizens of Israel will also be losers,” the Turkish leader warned
."

The importance of empire losing Turkey this year can't be over emphasized. With all of it's stupid chutzpah Israel lost it's one time ally through it's sickening behavior towards the Palestinians and clandestine operations in the region. With the world in a bus plunge towards all out war everywhere, take a look at this map:

Turkey is acknowledged to have the fourth most powerful military in the world and is the second biggest in NATO behind the US. It's a vast country with 75 million inhabitants. It's one of europe's five undeclared nuclear weapons states with 90 thermonuclear bombs from the US under caretaker status. "Fifty of these bombs are reportedly PDF assigned for delivery by U.S. pilots, and forty are assigned for delivery by the Turkish Air Force."
In the event of any new aggression and war instigated in the region by the shitty little zionist entity, Turkey is poised to side with neighboring muslim countries, tipping the balance of power against the ziofascist US/Israel/Brit real axis of weasels. Complicating matters for empire is that Turkey is a member of NATO and if the Israelis touch off war in the middle east by again invading Lebanon, which they seem to be itching to do, it's quite easy to see that two NATO members will essentially be at war with each other.

"Cracking down on fake pot, the government began emergency action Wednesday to outlaw five chemicals used in herbal blends to make synthetic marijuana. They're sold in drug paraphernalia shops and on the Internet to a burgeoning market of teens and young adults.

The Drug Enforcement Administration responded to the latest designer drug fad by launching a 30-day process to put these chemicals in the same drug category as heroin and cocaine. The agency acted after receiving increasing numbers of bad reports — including seizures, hallucinations and dependency — from poison centers, hospitals and law enforcement.

It was the fastest action the agency could take to get these products off the legal market. DEA spokeswoman Barbara Carreno said makers of fake pot blends like "Spice," "K2," "Blaze," and "Red X Dawn" label the mixtures as incense to try to hide their intended purpose.

Meantime, there were indications the producers were already moving to reformulate their products using chemicals not covered by the impending ban.

The fake pot — smokeable plant leaves coated with chemicals — has been the target of lawmakers and law enforcement around the country. At least 15 states have moved to regulate or ban one or more of the chemicals, as have some European and Scandinavian countries."

Naked XRay Machines Turned Off At Airports 11/24

TSA apparently wanted to avoid any frightening display of public opposition

Photobucket

If this was true all over the country, then being busted for their stupid, stupid ploy will greatly contribute to the demise of the miserable TSA. It will backfire in their faces big time. For one thing if the cancer machines are so vital to passenger safety the last thing you'd want to do is disable them on the busiest travel day of the year. That proves the ulterior motives of the entire program are paramount, and not our security that constantly emanates from their fetid pieholes.

TSA turns off naked body scanners to avoid opt-out day protests

TSA Turned Off Naked X-Ray Machines

"In order to block its real enemies, free Americans, TSA closed down its chertoscanners today so that people could not opt out. Gee, it turns out the expensive equipment was not necessary to fight terrorism after all, and was only designed to humiliate and dehumanize tax victims. Who knew?"

They then could rely on the miserable MSM to dutifully report that everything went smooth as a baby's ass because the opt out boycott failed and everybody was happy as hell, when in reality their fucking machines were unplugged, a fact unmentioned in news reports.
Instead we get this lying bullshit which is meant to convince americans that resistance to this fascist abuse won't work:

'Opt-Out Day' fizzles: Air travelers say scans aren't 'a big deal'
Airport body scan protests fizzle out

Planned airport protests fail to take off

South Korea Wants To Get More Butch

South Korean defence minister resigns over deadly clash

"South Korea's defence minister has resigned amid criticism of his handling of North Korea's shelling of an island near their disputed maritime border.
President Lee Myung-bak will name Kim Tae-young's successor on Friday.
Tuesday's barrage left two South Korean civilians and two marines dead, and sent regional tensions soaring.
South Korea has increased troop numbers on Yeonpyeong and other nearby islands, and announced more rigorous rules of engagement for future incidents.
Mr Kim had been urged to step down by legislators from both governing and opposition parties over his handling of the shelling.
In his resignation statement, the minister said he took full responsibility.

The government also said it was changing its rules of engagement to allow it to respond more forcefully to similar incidents. The old rules have been criticised as too passive.

The BBC's Chris Hogg in Seoul says the cabinet had decided that under the old rules of engagement there was too much emphasis on preventing a military incident escalating into something worse.

In future, the South would implement different levels of response, depending on whether the North attacked military or civilian targets, a presidential spokesman said.

A senior government official told the BBC that Seoul wanted to be more flexible in order to keep the North Koreans guessing as to their response.

Seoul to discuss with Washington the return of US tactical nuclear weapons

"South Korea will consider at consultations with the United States the possibility of return of US tactical nuclear weapons to its territory, South Korean Defence Minister Kim Tae-young said on Monday.

To a question of an MP whether the government intends to consider the redeployment of US tactical nuclear weapons in South Korea, the defence minister replied in the affirmative."

Killing 'Really Addictive:' Veteran's Essay Leads to Ban From Campus

"In an essay for a college English class, Charles Whittington Jr. opened up about his feelings about his time in combat in Iraq and Afghanistan.

"Killing becomes a drug, and it is really addictive. I had a really hard time with this problem when I returned to the United States, because turning this addiction off was impossible," Whittington wrote in the essay for his class at the Community College of Baltimore County in Catonsville, Md.

"I wrote this essay and the teacher gave me an A for it, and she encouraged me to publish it in the school newspaper," Whittington said. "Two weeks later, it was published."

After reading it, college administrators called Whittington into a meeting.

"They said he's barred until he gets a psychological evaluation," said Deborah O'Doherty, president of the Maryland chapter of American War Mothers and a friend of Whittington's family. She attended the meeting with Whittington. "They also gave him a no-trespass notice and kept bringing up the Virginia Tech shooting."

"I was really frustrated, because they didn't give me a chance to explain," said Whittington. "I wrote the paper to talk about the reality of what other soldiers go through and it was therapeutic for me."

Hope Davis, a college spokeswoman, said, "The violent and inflammatory content of Mr. Whittington's article raised some red flags we felt we needed to address in this post-Virginia Tech era. We have an obligation to maintain a safe and comfortable learning environment for the diverse population of nearly 74,000 students we serve." She said some students did complain, and most were veterans who expressed concern the essay would portray all veterans in a bad light."

I have a feeling what he wrote betrayed the fairy tale of american military always wearing the white hats and everything is just fine.
Stupidiy reigns supreme as people buy into fearful fascism, because fascism can't look in the mirror. Which is the reason why there's no healing process for veterans because fascism dictates that there's nothing to heal. Which is why the suicide rate among veterans is in the fucking stratophere.

US warns world of new, incriminating revelations

"The U.S. government has notified Ottawa that the WikiLeaks website is preparing to release sensitive U.S. diplomatic files that could damage U.S. relations with allies around the world.

U.S. officials say the documents may contain accounts of compromising conversations with political dissidents and friendly politicians and could result in the expulsion of U.S. diplomats from foreign postings.

A Foreign Affairs spokeswoman said the U.S. ambassador to Canada, David Jacobson, has phoned Minister of Foreign Affairs Lawrence Cannon to inform him of the matter.

Melissa Lantsman said the Canadian Embassy in Washington is "currently engaging" with the U.S. State Department on the matter.

A State Department spokesman said Wednesday the release of confidential communications about foreign governments probably will erode trust in the United States as a diplomatic partner.

U.S. diplomatic outposts around the world have begun notifying other governments that WikiLeaks may release the documents in the next few days."

Barack Obama's plan to defeat Ugandan LRA rebels

"US President Barack Obama has outlined a plan to disarm one of Africa's most feared rebel militias, the Ugandan Lord's Resistance Army.
It aims to defuse the spiralling bloodshed in central Africa by removing the LRA's leader, Joseph Kony.
LRA fighters will also be encouraged to defect or lay down their arms.
For more than 20 years the LRA has become notorious for kidnapping children to serve as soldiers and sex slaves.
LRA leaders initially claimed to be fighting to install a theocracy in Uganda based on the Biblical 10 commandments.
But they now roam across Sudan and Central African Republic (CAR), as well as the Democratic Republic of Congo."

5 Ways Stores Use Science to Trick You Into Buying Crap

#5.You Move in Predictable Patterns

"You step in the front door of your nearest chain grocery store. What's immediately to your right? At Wal-Mart, Kroger, Whole Foods and countless others, that's the fresh produce section. Some of them have their baked goods over there, too. And at those stores, the doors and registers are positioned to steer you that direction when you walk in.

This is because, after years of analysis of how humans move in a store, they've found that we're as easy to predict as animal migrations. Studies show that Americans like to shop counter-clockwise. Over time, they've found that stores that cater to this by putting the door on the right do better business than stores with the door in the center or, worst of all, the left.

Grocery stores are laid out to lead you around a set path you didn't even know you were following. Knowing you'll head right, they place the freshest, best-looking stuff they've got right in your path. Not the most popular stuff, mind you -- they know most of you didn't run to the store at midnight to buy lettuce, and they know that if they put the Doritos to the right, you'd grab them and head to the counter. Instead, they lead off with the produce, which tends to make the best psychological impression on you. The idea is that you'll associate the rest of the store with the freshness, bright colors and nice smells you got from the nicely laid-out produce.

After they hit you with the brightly colored lemons, apples and oranges, they schedule your predictable counter-clockwise path so that different products show up at the exact time that will make you most likely to buy. The stuff you actually came for -- cola, chips, milk, eggs, sliced cheese, cookies -- doesn't show up until the end, once your cart is chock full of stuff you didn't know you needed when you walked through the automatic doors.

Remember, the goal is to keep you in the store as long as possible, and to make you pass as many shelves as possible. You can't buy the new nacho cheese flavored Hamburger Helper if you don't know it exists.

We know that rotational patterns like this are common in herd animals, like elephants, but nobody is quite sure why humans do it. Studies have shown that British, Australian or Japanese shoppers tend to go the opposite way (clockwise) through the store, so some have speculated that it's based on the side of the road you're most used to driving on. If you drive on the right, you head right and follow the wall around."

Poll: 4 in 5 Support Full-Body Airport Scanners

"In response to continued security threats, the Transportation and Security Administration recently began introducing full body scanners with more enhanced technology than past devices into airports nationwide. If a passenger refuses to pass through the new scanners, TSA agents are now allowed to conduct a very detailed, very personal, body search on that person.

Although some civil rights groups allege that they represent an unconstitutional invasion of privacy, Americans overwhelmingly agree that airports should use the digital x-ray machines to electronically screen passengers in airport security lines, according to the new poll. Eighty-one percent think airports should use these new machines -- including a majority of both men and women, Americans of all age groups, and Democrats, Republicans, and independents alike. Fifteen percent said airports should not use them."

Widespread use was always the end goal with fake terror the means to get there.

Next step for tight security could be trains, boats, metro

"The next step in tightened security could be on U.S. public transportation, trains and boats.

Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano says terrorists will continue to look for U.S. vulnerabilities, making tighter security standards necessary.
“[Terrorists] are going to continue to probe the system and try to find a way through,” Napolitano said in an interview that aired Monday night on "Charlie Rose."
“I think the tighter we get on aviation, we have to also be thinking now about going on to mass transit or to trains or maritime. So, what do we need to be doing to strengthen our protections there?”

China, Russia quit dollar

"St. Petersburg, Russia - China and Russia have decided to renounce the US dollar and resort to using their own currencies for bilateral trade, Premier Wen Jiabao and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin announced late on Tuesday.
Wen said at the press conference that the partnership between Beijing and Moscow has "reached an unprecedented level" and pledged the two countries will "never become each other's enemy".

Over the past year, "our strategic cooperative partnership endured strenuous tests and reached an unprecedented level," Wen said, adding the two nations are now more confident and determined to defend their mutual interests
."

South Korea Playing With Fire

Provoked retaliatory shelling

"South Korea – North and South Korea exchanged artillery fire Tuesday along their disputed frontier, raising tensions between the rivals to their highest level in more than a decade. The communist nation warned of more military strikes if the South encroaches on the maritime border by "even 0.001 millimeter."

The skirmish began when North Korea warned the South to halt military drills near their sea border, according to South Korean officials. When Seoul refused and began firing artillery into disputed waters — but away from the North Korean shore — the North retaliated by shelling the small island of Yeonpyeong, which houses South Korean military installations and a small civilian population."

It's no wonder it's called the Hermit Kingdom. Constant bellicose provocations from the Republic of Korea and the US continually sour whatever strained relations exist at the moment. It's like the pentagon and the south are always itching to poke the north, knowing most assuradly they'll get a swift response which they can then use to paint the north as the bad guys. It's like this incitement was meant to coincide with upcoming war games and where Lee Myung-Bak and Obama can strut and preen and play all butch to the home crowds.

Whenever crap like this goes down North Korea is always set up as the fall guy. Even though it was proven that it was basically impossible for them to have sunk that South Korean warship back in March, that didn't stop the propaganda press from immediately pinning blame on the usual patsy.
(North Korean subs aren't stealthy enough, it took place deep within South Korean waters, right in the middle of a joint exercise between the US and the south involving dozens of warships engaged in what? Anti submarine drills.)

Brinksmanship and overreaction is empire's game on the Korean peninsula, decidedly stupid considering the north can and would turn Seoul into a sea of fire in five minutes time. It's very possible this artillery exchange was also set up to emphasize North Korea's Horrible Enemy Status as the US hustles and bustles about getting all worked up claiming the north at any moment is about to test a nuke, because of tunneling activity at it's test site.

Survey Indicates 2/3 Of Americans Support Airport Full Body Scanners

"D.C., Washington, United States (AHN) - Despite the recent furor created by strict airport security measures, particularly invasive passenger searches, a survey released Monday indicated about two-thirds of Americans support the use of new full-body scanners at U.S. gateways.
However, 50 percent of the survey respondents drew the line on pat-downs, which they described as having gone too far. Some groups have labeled the pat-downs as glorified grope sessions.

LA Coroner Wants To Expand His Gift Shop

LOS ANGELES – "The morgue is about the last place you would think of to go shopping, so it's perhaps unsurprising that sales at Los Angeles County's coroner gift store are next to dead.

Tucked as unobtrusively as possible in a closed-door room off the coroner's lobby, the store is jam-packed with mortality-mocking merchandise: Water bottles marked "bodily fluids," boxer shorts dubbed "undertakers," toe tags, crime-scene tape and beach towels bearing the county coroner's trademarked symbol of a body outline.

Trouble is, few people know about the tongue-in-cheek store and its related website, "Skeletons in a Closet." The shop's biggest customers? No shock here — homicide detectives.

"Most people know it through word-of-mouth," said Craig Harvey, the department's chief of operations. "But we are mentioned in guidebooks and we get tourists."

County auditors, however, say given the unique nature of the trinkets — the department is believed to be the nation's only coroner with a trademarked merchandise line — the 17-year-old business could be a robust moneymaker if infused with marketing lifeblood.

They recommend the coroner hire an outside firm with an eye to marketing the merchandise in high-traffic tourist areas, such as Hollywood Boulevard and Los Angeles International Airport.

Harvey is first to admit the merchandise has potential. It just hasn't been a priority for a department that prides itself as one of the top forensic science units in the country, as well as the busiest."

Turkey's Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Time's Person Of The Year?

This seems to be a popular celebrity event along with countless top ten lists this time of the year. Apparently Erdogan is in first place with the public at large, with the full list here.
I'd go out on a limb to say that he'll never be chosen by the rag for a very simple reason. His soaring popularity stems from Turkey standing up to the murderous stench in Israel, something President Pussy and all other so called leaders refuse to do. Seeing as ziofascists have complete control of most media in this country they would be loath to bring attention to anyone moral enough to stand up against Israel's crimes.
If I'd guess who Time will choose it would be Julian Assange of Wikileaks, who's about to release two and a half million more "war documents" soon, information no doubt again vetted by the NSA to tell us nothing that we didn't already know and also help make the case for war with Iran.

Fascism Applauds Itself

Senator Rockefeller To TSA Chief John Pistole: “I Think You’re Doing A Terrific Job”

"The backlash against new TSA airport screening procedures has reached a deafening crescendo, and so you would think that the politicians in Washington D.C. would be getting the message. But so far, most of them seem to be just as supportive of the TSA as ever. For example, what did the chairman of the Senate committee overseeing air travel, Jay Rockefeller, have to say to TSA chief John Pistole during a Senate hearing on these new security procedures the other day? "I Think You're Doing A Terrific Job." Yes, you read that correctly. Senator Rockefeller had nothing but praise for Pistole and the new screening procedures. Apparently Rockefeller thinks that TSA officials feeling up the genitals of U.S. air travelers with the fronts of their hands is a wonderful thing. It is even being reported that in some instances TSA officials are actually reaching down the pants of men and up the skirts of women during these enhanced pat-downs. Not only is this totally criminal, but considering the fact that TSA officials do this countless times without changing their gloves it is also a serious health hazard. But most of our "leaders" in Washington D.C. continue to insist that we should stop protesting because this is all being done "for our own good".

But should we expect anything less from elitists such as Rockefeller? This is the same guy who is publicly talking about how wonderful it would be if the FCC would just go in and shut down Fox News and MSNBC. He also has publicly expressed his belief that we would probably be "better off" if the Internet had never been invented. Obviously Rockefeller is not a big fan of freedom of expression.

But it is not just Rockefeller that is applauding these new TSA security procedures.

U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar seems convinced that the American people will change their minds once they understand the reasons behind these new rules. According to Klobuchar, the American people "have to understand that this is being done for their best interests and their safety."

U.S. Senator Claire McCaskill also believes that ordinary Americans will quickly change their opinions once they fully understand what is going on....

"And then I think we can--the majority of Americans I think--I hope will become supportive of the measures that TSA is trying to do to keep us safe."
Do you think that Klobuchar and McCaskill will still feel the same way once they have been groped and fondled by TSA officials?

The truth is that the outrage of the American people about these ridiculous airport security procedures only seems to be growing. If you doubt this, just go spend a few minutes on the We Won't Fly Facebook page. The American people are angry and they are only getting angrier.

But is TSA chief Pistole listening?

Not a chance.

During the Senate hearing, Pistole made his feelings abundantly clear....

"If you are asking me, am I going to change my policies? No."
Many Americans had hoped that once George W. Bush was out of office that many of these thug-like security tactics would go away, but the truth is that they have only gotten far worse under the Obama administration.

TSA officials would not be touching our genitals with the fronts of their hands if Barack Obama himself had not given the green light to these new procedures.

Barack Obama could stop these enhanced pat-downs tomorrow if he wanted to. But he does not want to.

The American people need to wake up. It seems like the Big Brother police state tactics just keep getting worse with each new presidential administration. Instead of "the land of the free and the home of the brave", we are rapidly becoming "the land of the peon and the home of the slave".

Liberty and freedom are very precious things. Once they have been taken away, they are very difficult to get back. Unless the American people speak up now, TSA groping and fondling is going to become a permanent part of America."

TSA Chief Warns Against Boycott of Airport Scans

"The nation's airport security chief urged travelers not to boycott full-body scans on Wednesday — one of the busiest flying days of the year — as the Thanksgiving holiday approaches with some Americans in a foul and rebellious mood.

Transportation Security Administration chief John Pistole said Monday that such delaying actions would only "tie up people who want to go home and see their loved ones."

"We all wish we lived in a world where security procedures at airports weren't necessary," he said, "but that just isn't the case."

He noted the alleged attempt by a Nigerian with explosives in his underwear to bring down a plane over Detroit last Christmas.

There was little if any indication of a revolt Monday as passenger screening appeared to go smoothly at many major U.S. airports, with very few people declining the X-ray scan that can peer through their clothes. Those who refuse are subject to a pat-down search that includes the crotch and chest.

Many travelers said that the scans and the pat-down were not much of an inconvenience, and that the stepped-up measures made them feel safer and were, in any case, unavoidable.

"Whatever keeps the country safe, I just don't have a problem with," Leah Martin, 50, of Houston, said as she waited to go through security at the Atlanta airport.

At Chicago's O'Hare Airport, Gehno Sanchez, a 38-year-old from San Francisco who works in marketing, said he doesn't mind the full-body scans. "I mean, they may make you feel like a criminal for a minute, but I'd rather do that than someone touching me," he said."

"Frank Bell, 71, of Norfolk, Conn., said he took off his shoes and passed through a scanner at New York's Kennedy Airport — and wasn't even sure whether it was one of the full-body machines.

"It was absolutely nothing," he said. "If there was something that was supposed to tell what sex I was, I wasn't aware of it."

Vacant Airports

Standing Up to the TSA

"Almost overnight, the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has gone from national joke to national nightmare. Passengers used to laugh when screeners so inept they missed 60—75% of the fake bombs undercover investigators smuggled past them nonetheless proclaimed themselves gods. No one's laughing now, though, as the TSA ogles us with carcinogenic technology and sexually assaults anyone who objects.

Over 300 of the agency's "naked" scanners lurk in 60-some airports nationwide, with more on the way; eventually, the agency will irradiate every passenger on every flight. These gizmos peer through clothing to photograph bodies in graphic detail. The TSA makes much of offering a "choice": if you dislike posing nude for the government, its perverts will grope you instead — "prob[ing]," "prodding" and pushing "up your thighs and between your legs until we meet resistance" (and they don't mean a slap in the face). You also suffer this indignity, even if you submit to the scan, should it reveal "anomalies" such as piercings or prostheses.

Are you still flying? Why? For your own protection and that of your children, for liberty's sake, stay on the ground until Congress abolishes the TSA. No destination on earth or convenience in reaching it, no vacation, Thanksgiving dinner, meeting or sales trip, is worth the degradation the TSA is dishing out.

Its new "pat down procedures ... allow security officers to touch passengers of the same gender in sensitive areas such as the breasts and genitals..." These attacks have been "likened to 'foreplay' pat-downs ... [screeners are] using the new front-of-the-hand, slide-down screening technique for ... over-the-clothes searches of passengers' breast and genital areas."

Such mass mauling is unprecedented. No regime anywhere at any time, however totalitarian or brutal, has ever routinely denuded and molested citizens.

Don't underestimate the trauma of such aggression nor succumb to the TSA's bland assurances that a screener "of the same gender" will paw you. We're talking sexual assault here, not a few moments of discomfort you'll quickly forget. Feelings of rage and helplessness, depression and worthlessness, can plague victims for months.

Most pilots are veterans of the Air Force; they're pretty tough cookies who may even have survived combat. Yet one of them "experienced a frisking [from the TSA] that has left him unable to function as a crewmember. Words used to describe the incident include 'rape' and 'sexual molestation,' and in the aftermath of trying to recover this pilot has literally vomited in his own driveway while contemplating going back to work and facing the possibility of a similar encounter with the TSA."

It's one thing for a predator to force your submission at gunpoint; it's another to voluntarily enter an airport and endure the TSA's onslaught. Knowing that you could have avoided it entirely but instead cooperated with your assailants and even paid them to violate you will cripple you with despair."

Yes, the indignity and stupidity of this is overwhelmingly invasive, but the fact that it's a policy of public humiliation to get us used to being submissive cowards that makes me stay at home.

added - Hey, justification time!

TSA now needs false flag security incident to convince Americans to accept obscene pat-downs

"(NaturalNews) With the grassroots backlash over the TSA's obscene pat-downs growing by the day, it's becoming fairly obvious that the only way the U.S. government is going to get the public to accept these Fourth Amendment violations is if there is another "terrorist incident" that's stopped by the TSA and its naked body scanners."

Welfare funding runs out in Iraq

"BAGHDAD — Iraq has run out of money to pay for widows' benefits, farm crops and other programs for the poor, the parliament leader on Sunday told lawmakers who have collected nearly $180,000 so far this year in one of the world's most oil-rich nations.

In only their fourth session since being elected in March, members of Iraq's parliament demanded to know what happened to the estimated $1 billion allocated for welfare funding by the Finance Ministry for 2010.

"We should ask the government where these allocations for widows' aid have gone," demanded Sadrist lawmaker Maha Adouri of Baghdad, one of the women who make up a quarter of the legislature's 325 members. "There are thousands of widows who did not receive financial aid for months.
Another legislator said farmers have not been paid for wheat and other crops they supplied the government.

Speaker Osama al-Nujaifi promised that parliament would push the Iraqi government for answers on where the money went. But he said new funding for the nation's social care programs will have to come out of the 2011 budget, which he said would be sent to parliament within days.

"We will ask the government about this — if there is any carelessness or delaying these payments," said al-Nujaifi, a Sunni member of the Iraqiya political alliance.

Iraq sits on top of some of the world's largest oil reserves, although production has been stagnant for years due to the 2003 U.S.-led invasion and subsequent reluctance by private investors to mine the vast petroleum fields."

CIA Crows About It's Cheap, Phony Terror

'Good bargain for us': Al-Qaida group touts small-scale attacks

"Al-Qaida in the Arabian Peninsula is promising more small-scale attacks like its attempts to bomb two U.S.-bound cargo planes, which it likens to bleeding its enemy to death by a thousand cuts.

The editors of a special edition of the Yemeni-based group's English on-line magazine, Inspire, boast that what they call Operation Hemorrhage was cheap, and easy, using common items that together with shipping, cost only $4,200 to carry out.

"It is such a good bargain for us to spread fear amongst the enemy and keep him on his toes in exchange of a few months of work and a few thousand bucks," AQAP said in its online Inspire magazine, released on militant websites
."

I've always liked the spooks' straightforward names for their operations, "Al Qaeda in (whatever country). Here from MSNBC the CIA is basically trying to remind us about their made up omnipresent boogeymen, that their phony tonerbomb was really real and that by cracky they're going to keep on keepin' us scared with their false flag antics. Only budget restraints these days means they'll have to do it on the cheap.
I'd expect more of this plainly transparent garbage to coincide with other efforts to justify TSA abuse at the airports and soon to be all over the country.
