If Not The Taliban, Then Who?

Taliban Deny Role in Deadly Afghan Attacks

"A Taliban spokesman denied any responsibility Wednesday for a major bombing that killed dozens of people in southern Afghanistan's largest city, saying the militant group condemns the attack.
The explosion ripped through a central area of Kandahar city just after nightfall, killing at least 43 people and wounding 65, according to the Interior Ministry. It flattened buildings and sent flames shooting into the sky on the same day that the first preliminary results were released from last week's landmark presidential vote. Rescue workers were still pulling out injured people on Wednesday."

The casualties will mount from this sophisticated attack which apparently was meant to kill civilians. It went off in a neighborhood with homes and restaurants, causing numerous buildings to collapse.

This event should be looked at a little closer because to the home audience of foxified mouthbreathers it's just more violent background noise from over there, again justifying american military presence so that there shit don't happin' over here. For years that's been true about Iraq. Seemingly senseless carnage, wanton, anonymous murder that would only get much worse if US soldiers didn't police the place. So we're told.

But this is Afghanistan where things are a lot more clear cut. The Taliban want the occupiers out. The US and NATO are fighting to occupy the country to control the resources and immense drug production. The Taliban have a long history of fighting for liberation from foreign occupiers and when they strike they almost always take immediate responsibility. The thing is they attack military targets but it seems they'll claim they did it even when there are cilvilian casualties. So denying involvement isn't automatic standard operating procedure for the Taliban.

Afghanistan and Pakistan are in the crosshairs as the american military machine is about to ramp up it's warfare. It's real easy to create chaos over there and obfuscate the reasons why shit goes down. Ziofascists have absolutely no compunctions about random slaughter as a political tool like what they've done in Iraq since 2003, and most likely they're going to pull murderous stunts in Afghanistan to justify repression just like in their middle east colony. This civilian carnage last night, by the way, happened in the middle of the Taliban's spiritual home Kandahar at 7:30 pm, about 45 minutes after people broke the Ramadan fast. Sound a little like brutally blowing up a children's pet fair in Baghdad?

When bombs go off and the body parts fly it's best to ask a few questions. Was the target military or random civilian murder? Who benefits and doesn't benefit from the results and also the press afterwards? Does anyone claim responsibility or are there conflicting claims? Of course it's hard to wade through MSM smoke and mirrors when you're trying to figure out what new crap the empire is up to, but that's what they're counting on, and they're very, very busy in central asia.

I wonder how many Americans at this point even remember that the reason we were given for going to war with Afghanistan was to hunt down bin Laden. Does anybody believe we're making any progress in that effort? Do they even care

The oil machine is ratcheting up it's war propaganda to a fevered pitch now since the Empire needs the military-industrial-congressional-complex spawned technology and jobs.

Obama has to get that oil pipeline built across Afghanistan and his masters aren't going to accept failure like they did Bu$hco.

To get out-manuvered by the Russians again wouldn't be good for the Obamanator at all!

All a game Mad, with the proles as pawns. Everybody in this country today has attention deficit to one extent or another. The way I see it, they kicked off this never-ending-war-on-something and it will morph into whatever fits their purposes. Bin Who?

Oh man they're ratcheting up the war, dad. Brzezinski lives, and an awful lot of people will die.
