Here Come The National ID Cards

These will need to be carried to prove you've taken the mandated vaccinations, one would imagine.

Mexico to issue citizens national identity card

"MEXICO CITY — President Felipe Calderon says Mexico will start issuing nationwide identity cards for its citizens starting this year, and by 2012 everyone will have one.
The cards will carry the bearer's photograph. It will also include information on fingerprints and biometric data, including facial and iris scans, on a magnetic strip."

UK's national ID card unveiled

"The card is very similar in look to a UK driving licence but holds more data, including two fingerprints and a photograph encoded on a chip.
This chip and its unique number in turn links the card to a national identity register which, under current legislation, could hold more information about the identity of the individual."

India's National ID Card - it's supposed to fight poverty, donchaknow.
