I'll See Your Warships And Raise A Fleet

Beijing to deploy more ships to the South China Sea

"China plans to boost patrols in the South China Sea, converting retired naval ships and possibly even drafting in fishing boats to protect its interests in the disputed area.
The announcement comes weeks after the United States said that one of its unarmed maritime surveillance ships had been harassed by five Chinese naval boats in waters about 75 miles (120km) off the southern Chinese island of Hainan. China said that the US ship was engaged in spying. The Pentagon then sent in a destroyer to protect the USNS Impeccable as it carried out its surveys in the region.
Wu Zhuang, director of the Administration of Fishery and Fishing Harbour Supervision of the South China Sea, said: “China will make the best use of its naval ships and may also build more fishery patrol ships, depending on the need.”

Wow-this really has me wondering if the "Apocalypse Trifecta" ever does start -which hopefully it won't -who will be on whose side? Or if it will just be a horrific free for all as resources and food dwindle -then of course there is the coming water shortages -thanks for all of these updates and I hope you and the Mrs and all who comment here are doing great!!

Sorry to double comment -well triple if you count my comment on murderous ski slopes-I was just wondering if you -the Mrs or anyone who comments here felt that when Putin took over from Yeltsin that it was "not as advertised"-I always thought that could have been a more "graceful" palace revolution-but I still cant help but feel that Putin presented Yeltsin with a fait accompli and said look "you can leave nicely or not so nicely" best as always!!

Horrific free for all would be my guess, Devin. Nobody will really know who's doing what to whom when the scrambling for resources begins. Borders will disappear as nations collapse and things will get nasty and localized while central governments will become ever more irrelevent.
As for Putin, he was KGB all the way. From what I understand you're quite right - if you see the transition through the eyes of a Russian, Putin salvaged what was left of Russia by kicking the zionists out of the country and nationalizing it's resources. (recall Berezovsky?)
Yeltsin was a pathetic stooge for foreign rape and I would assume there weren't going to be many arguments about transition of power.
