Trying to prove that he can compete with the rest of the know - nothing repug lineup, Tom Tancredo from Colorado tried to appeal to the puffed chest crowd:

"OSCEOLA -- Followers of radical Islam must be deterred from committing a nuclear attack on U.S. soil, Colorado Congressman Tom Tancredo said Tuesday morning, saying that as president he would take drastic measures to prevent such attacks. "If it is up to me, we are going to explain that an attack on this homeland of that nature would be followed by an attack on the holy sites in Mecca and Medina," the GOP presidential candidate said."

Nothing like picking out a target enemy and lumping them all together. Mecca and Medina happen to be in Saudi Arabia, which at last glance was a firm ally of the bushista regime and the sales partner in a $20,000,000,000 weapons deal. I wonder how the saudis would feel, and maybe a billion muslims wordwide, after two saudi cities which happened to be the holiest sites in their religion were turned to ashes?

But idiot blather like this isn't new with the goose steppers. Remember during the second repug debate when sycophant Brit Hume set up that hypothetical terror situation and most of them tried to outdo each other in how vicious they'd be? (Oh yeah? I'd poke out their eyes, put'em on the rack and then I'd get medieval!)
