"US citizens who apply for a job will need prior approval from Department of Homeland Security under the terms (of the) immigration bill passed by the Senate this week.
American Civil Liberties Union pointed out that the DHS's Employment Eligibility Verification System (EEVS) is error plagued and if the department makes a mistake in determining work eligibility, there will be virtually no way to challenge the error or recover lost wages due to the bill’s prohibitions on judicial review.
Even current employees will need to obtain eligibility approval from the DHS Within 60 days of the Immigration Reform Act of 2006 becoming law.
"EEVS would be a financial and bureaucratic nightmare for both businesses and workers," said Timothy Sparapani, ACLU Legislative Counsel. "Under this already flawed program no one would be able to work in the U.S. without DHS approval - creating a ‘No Work List’ similar to the government’s ‘No Fly List.’

sickening, but certainly not all that surprising. don't know of any employers who would hire me at this point anyway.... considering i refuse to pee in a cup at random or sign away my right to have them perform background checks while signing away my right challenge the results. fuck that entire system.
i like my contract job--just had to fill out a w2 and sign a simple form. i intend on keeping it until i'm self-employed. or until i inherit a nice trust fund so that i can spend my days watching the trees, lovin my man and eating chocolate.

Department of Homeland Security (for those who speak Nazi: Fatherland security) will now on political basis without any explanation include political dissidents on no-fly and no-work lists and destroy their ability to earn a living and travel freely. By cutting off their life-support, the real opponents of the ruling Royal/banking elite will self-destruct in desperation as they are forced on to the streets in poverty. If they don’t end their lives immediately, eventually they commit crimes in desperation and are handled by law enforcement and disappear into the prison system. Seems like a sneaky way to kill people without the official use of Nazi death camps. Just as illegal immigration is a sneaky way of having slavery without the use of official slave camps. The slaves even pay for their own upkeep.
The illegal immigrants also scoop up the non-sensitive jobs that people on no-work lists would normally hope to get, just to get by. I guess they did learn from the mistakes of the Nazi’s after all. How to do it better and more efficiently!!!
