These Phoney Broadcasts are Getting Tiresome

Always so, so timely.
Always right on cue.
Little boots is going to open his lying piehole tomorrow night at the monsters ball in Washington, and no doubt his speechwriters are including comments about the latest "Al Queda" threat that was broadcast by Al Jazeera today.

Image hosting by Photobucket

According to the AP "Al-Qaida No. 2 Ayman al-Zawahri said in a videotape aired Monday that
President Bush was a "butcher" and a "failure" because of a deadly U.S. airstrike in Pakistan targeting the bin Laden deputy, and he threatened a new attack on the United States."

Never mind that "Al Queda" always was and is a CIA asset.
Never mind that Al Jazeera is located in Qatar, whose emir subsidized the Arabic broadcast company. The same emir who hosts the sprawling Al Udeid Air Base
Never mind that these broadcasts couldn't be timed more conveniently by Karl Rove himself, and probably are.

I remember a shining example of this media management that happened back in the mid 80s. Back then the boogabooga du jour was the dire Nicaraguan threat to us all. Reagan and his cronies seemed to be obsessed with this tiny, impovershed central american country. (That it was the threat of a good example to it's neighbors is another story.)
The fascists needed to publicly give a shitload of money to the contras, a CIA terrorist mob that was used in a proxy war against the Nicaraguan people. A few days before the vote in congress, a story exploded in the media that Russia was sending mig 21s to the Sandanistas, complete with tv news bulletins. Congress authorized the money. The story was retracted a few days later on page 27.

The only thing the fascists have is fear. We're living in a shell of a country, with the government basically on the verge of financial collapse - U.S. IN TECHNICAL DEFAULT The fascists are trying to wage war on the world to expand the empire like a cancer while our country is rapidly being turned into a prison The whoring mass media is furiously at work to ensure that we stay in lock step behind this insanity, and the one tactic that's never failed to work is to generate a perpetual climate of fear.

What no one seemed to notice . . . was the ever widening gap. . . between the government and the people.

The dictatorship, and the whole process of its coming into being, was above all diverting. . . . It provided an excuse not to think for people who did not want to think anyway . . . and kept us so busy with continuous changes and “crises” and so fascinated, yes, fascinated, by the machinations of the “national enemies,” without and within, that we had no time to think about these dreadful things that were growing, little by little, all around us. . . .

Each step was so small, so inconsequential, so well explained or, on occasion, “regretted,” that . . . one no more saw it developing from day to day than a farmer in his field sees the corn growing. One day it is over his head.

Each act, each occasion, is worse than the last, but only a little worse. . . . You wait for the one great shocking occasion, thinking that others, when such a shock comes, will join with you in resisting somehow. . . .

But the one great shocking occasion . . . never comes. . . . That’s the difficulty.

50 Most Loathsome People in America

I'm sure you'll agree.

excerpt:

43. Rush Limbaugh
Charges: Rather than engage in the admittedly difficult task of justifying GOP policies rationally, the key to Limbaugh’s success is attracting an audience that actually yearns to be lied to. It doesn’t matter how many righteous fact-checkers assail him in print and on the web, because dittoheads don’t care that he’s lying, as long as the lies justify their prejudices. Limbaugh’s program is not just hypocritical; it is a celebration of hypocrisy for ignorant crackers, angry at smart people and strung out on the dwindling sensation that they are better than everyone else by virtue of their race, sex, nationality or level of bluster, because their character and accomplishments don’t warrant such feelings. If political discussion were sex, the Limbaugh audience would be a horde of virgins beating off to deranged rape fantasies.

Exhibit A: Started out in sports radio; hasn’t changed his approach one bit.

Sentence: Starved to death in full view of glazed ham; ACLU mistakenly bestowed entire estate due to barbecue sauce stain on last will and testament.

No no, it'll never happen here.

"Say "fascism" to anyone you meet, and you will be greeted with the boilerplate response of the blithely overconfident: such a thing cannot happen here. This is the United States of America, land of the free and home of the brave. Ours is a nation of laws, of checks and balances, of righteousness and decency. Our laws and traditions stand as a bulwark against the rise of totalitarian madness. It cannot happen here. Thus we are indoctrinated into the school of our own assumed greatness."

Controlled Demolitions

There's no doubt that 9/11 was an inside job. We were all lied to, we continue to be lied to, and everything that followed from that day is a huge fucking lie.
There is absolutely no evidence that there were ever 19 hijackers on those planes. Nothing, except the word of the most corrupt scumbags who ever posed as legitimate officials. Go take a look at the flight manifests. None of the supposed hijackers appears on the lists. And 8 or 9 of them showed up alive in the days following 9/11 so presumably all those names were stolen.
Cell phone calls from the planes? Lies. Flight 93 and that brave fight for the cockpit and "let's roll"? It was shot out of the sky and debris scattered for 8 miles. "Magic passport". Mysterious military non response. The secret service allowing little boots to sit talking with children while supposedly hijacked planes go smashing into skyscrapers.

9/11 is an event that is easily the most sophisticated psy-op in history. That was the day the fascists decided to put the pedal to the metal and accelerate their drive for total control. Everything that followed has been deception based on falsehood stemming from lies.

It's been 4 years and some months since that horrible day, and the perps have tried to cover their tracks, hide the evidence and alter history. But it's not too late to pay attention to the large number of people at the crime scenes who have very different recollections of what happened. Those buildings in New York were blown up, and a lot of people were there to witness it.

Oral Histories

“[T]here was just an explosion [in the south tower]. It seemed like on television [when] they blow up these buildings. It seemed like it was going all the way around like a belt, all these explosions.”--Firefighter Richard Banaciski
“I saw a flash flash flash [at] the lower level of the building. You know like when they demolish a building?”--Assistant Fire Commissioner Stephen Gregory
“[I]t was [like a] professional demolition where they set the charges on certain floors and then you hear 'Pop, pop, pop, pop, pop'."--Paramedic Daniel Rivera

What Planet Are These People Living On?

Seriously, the dead-from-the-neck-up Apologists for Fascism are totally deranged. There literally are no words anymore to describe the mindset that supports this ongoing march to hell. Simply to point to the obvious, to show facts, to relate news, is inappropriate and unallowable.

According to the Trentonian, some morons think that merely showing the number of troops killed in Iraq should not be allowed.
GOP group wants death count list removedAssociated Press
It's a sign in the front window of the Bucks county democratic committee in Pennsylvania. The brownshirts want it taken down, no doubt because it generates, um, uncomfortable feelings with the yellow magnet crowd.
Don Petrille, chairman of the Bucks County Federation of the Young Republican Braindead says:
"It ignores all the accomplishments we made in Iraq, such as eliminating the torture rooms, we overthrew Saddam Hussein, and general elections were held to form a permanent government."

For one thing, Don, what the hell does any of that have to do with reporting how many soldiers have died? Not that that's the real number of dead anyway. Why do you get all twitchy when you see statistics like that? Oh that's right. The sight of coffins coming home curbs your enthusiasm so they have to be secreted back under cover of night. Anything that reminds you of the realities of what you support should be banned and censored. Gotta maintain that fervent wave the flag, fuhrer loving, fairy tale mindset, eh?

And accomplishments, punk? You mean like replacing Saddam's torture rooms with America's new and improved version - http://www.antiwar.com/news/?articleid=2444 or liberating people - Scoop: 100k Civilians Killed In Iraq By Coalition Forces or the whole stinking mess making us much more safe and secure?

I Wonder if I'm on the No-Fly List

Flying isn't my favorite activity. I don't like to give up my sense of being in control of my destiny. I know that statistics show that you're much more likely to slip on a banana peel and crack your head or get bitten by a tarantula than go down in a weightless, screaming ball of flame, but that's just me. Any wonderment I feel at the view is negated by all the trepidations.

However, my parents are quite elderly and both have had cancer, and I know the inevitable phone call or fax will come some day. They live on the other side of the country and to get there quickly I'll have to fly. Or try to.

As Doug Thompson at Capitol Hill Blue: The Oldest Political News Site on the Internet puts it:
"Yep. I’m on the official “no-fly” list. The TSA won’t tell anyone why they are on the no-fly list. That, they claim, is “classified.” Yet the list seems to carry a lot of names of people whose only crime is being critical of the Bush administration or the Iraq war. People like Democratic senators or congressmen or James Moore, co-author of Bush’s Brain, the best-selling book about Bush and Karl Rove.
So much for the land of the free."

It's hard to say whether some small fry/internet rant/average joe such as myself is on any kind of a terror list. I'll find out some day. But speaking of small fry, earlier this month a 4 year old at Houston International found out he was tagged as a threat and almost couldn't get on a flight to go see his grandma - CNN.com - 4-year-old boy shows up on 'no-fly' list - Jan 6, 2006
I wonder who else is on those lists.

The Real Reason For All Out War

The way I see it, there are two choices for bu$hco and the Empire -
1. Sit by and watch the Iranian oil bourse come to fruition in March and the dollar will collapse.
or
2. Continue their onslaught of resourse rich nations by attacking Iran before their oil bourse comes to fruition, igniting a mideast firestorm, possibly starting a world war and the dollar will collapse.

Seeing as how the fascists love chaos I would expect #2 in two months.

Iran’s Oil Exchange threatens the Greenback
excerpt:
"The Bush administration will never allow the Iranian government to open an oil exchange (bourse) that trades petroleum in euros. If that were to happen, hundreds of billions of dollars would come flooding back to the United States crushing the greenback and destroying the economy. This is why Bush and Co. are planning to lead the nation to war against Iran. It is straightforward defense of the current global system and the continuing dominance of the reserve currency, the dollar."

and - Collapse of U.S. Economy Imminent
"Summary: The U.S. economy is broken, the United States is bankrupt - the unchecked spending by this administration, the illegally waged wars against Afghanistan and Iraq, the cost of unprecedented weapons and military build-up - have all contributed to an irreversible emergency which is threatening our nation’s existence and our very lives.
Hospitals are closing, major corporations are declaring bankruptcy and/or moving their companies overseas, the monopolized news media spews nothing but lies, and our fearless leaders have turned out to be only ruthless criminals hell-bent on destabilizing our country and robbing us all."

Not So Depleted Uranium - Poison Dust

Call it the most egregious, despicable aspect of the Empire's push to control the world.
Since the first gulf slaughter the US military has been tipping their bullets and missiles with DU because of it's high density. When it explodes a large portion of it is aerosolised, and breathing that in can make you get cancer and die.

The military knows it's sending the soldiers into a deadly environment, and does it anyway.
"And what about our soldiers? Terry Jemison of the Department of Veterans Affairs reported this week to the American Free Press that "Gulf-era veterans" now on medical disability since 1991 number 518,739, with only 7,035 reported wounded in Iraq in that same 14-year period.
This week the American Free Press dropped a "dirty bomb" on the Pentagon by reporting that eight out of 20 men who served in one unit in the 2003 U.S. military offensive in Iraq now have malignancies. That means that 40 percent of the soldiers in that unit have developed malignancies in just 16 months.
"
Depleted Uranium - Dirty Bombs, Dirty Missiles, Dirty Bullets

Not only are large swaths of the earth from Afghanistan to the Balkans to the Middle East now permanently poisoned, but the pawns of the Empire are left to sicken and die, many times after bringing the stuff back to this country where they sicken their families and partners. The US military has waged 4 nuclear wars in the last 15 years - Yugoslavia, Afghanistan and twice in Iraq.

Your tax dollars at work.

More Phoney Boogabooga

The mainstream media is all goosebumpy with a purported new audiotape of Osama Bin Laden.
When I look at the "news" reports of this latest effort to scare us into submission, it amazes me that anyone would take them seriously. Well, maybe it's serious in that the fascists might be telegraphing their intentions to launch more synthetic terror, but waving "Osama" at us is one huge joke.

The whole thing is a lie. It's all made up and the MSM is complicit in dishing out all that steaming pile of bullshit. There's no reason to believe any of these audiotapes or videos are real.
The Fake bin Laden Audio
In fact Bin Laden and Al Queda were always CIA assets, and Bin Laden is most likely dead. -
Osama bin Laden - a dead nemesis perpetuated by the US government
Whenever the messages are examined it's invariably the CIA who does the examining, the very agency that cooks this crap up.
http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/article6166.htm

And then there's the curious timing of all these tapes. Only the most indoctrinated dead-from-the-neck-up FOX bot would miss the fact that "Bin Laden" and his aims have a curious symmetry with the Empire's foreign policy. The tapes show up right on cue to boost efforts to fund the "war on terra", remind people of 9/11 or back when little boots was lying his way into Iraq. http://www.prisonplanet.com/112103greatestally.html

Just like Emmanuel Goldstein in Orwell's 1984, Osama is being used to ensure that the sheep never lose their devotion to Big Brother.

and - New Osama Tape - Another Of Neocon's 'Greatest Hits'
"Spying? Torture? Illegal airstrikes? SHUT UP and hate Bin Laden.
The NeoCon use of Osama Bin Laden as a tool of fear and control is a tried and tested method whenever the going gets tough. It's predictable and it's tiresome, but the masses buy it every time and that's why he has reappeared once again"

and - Bin Laden Tape Probably Faked by CIA
"Back in 2002, the Bush administration was chagrined when the world's foremost voice identification experts, a group in Swizterland called IDIAP analyzed several Bin Laden tapes and concluded that a "CIA-verified" bin Laden tape was NOT Bin Laden, but someone whose voice patterns resembled the terrorist's. Now again we have a Bin Laden tape that arrives just when Bush needs a "terrorist diversion." And once again, we have only the CIA "experts" verifying the authenticity. So why since 2002 hasn't the IDIAP been called in to verify these always conveniently timed tapes? And why is no CIA expert ever actually named?"

Bona Fide Horseman of the Apocalypse

Really. The latest Bush mega-catastrophe is now pharmaceuticals

"One could say that this relentless injection of chaos and confusion into the body politic fits a conspiratorial pattern for utterly demoralizing the nation. One could argue that it's a conscious shot at total social deconstruction..."

I've thought this for a while now. The seemingly endless, astonishing list of failures and fuckups really does seem like little boots and his handlers are intent on destroying this nation. It isn't just hyperbole from someone who's opposed to everything this cabal stands for. It's happening in real time, right before our eyes.

These criminals in Washington aren't "conservatives" in any sense of the word. They're extremist radicals, intent on absolutely smashing the bedrock that this country supposedly stood on for many years - some semblance of fiscal responsibility, a sense of moral rectitude and firm beliefs that even though times may be tough, things will get better. And they've taken a wrecking ball to every single possibility that we can do anything about it at all.

"One can have an opinion about the war in Iraq. But no one on any side of the issue can argue that the effort has been run with anything but complete arrogance, idiocy and incompetence."

To just cite one example, they are destroying the military. Oh, their corporate cronies get ever bigger contracts to churn out weapons, but they seem to hate military personnel. How else can you explain sending soldiers to fight in the most unjustifiable wars in history? Deliberately exposing them to deadly "depleted" uranium? Cutting their pay, not giving them the armor they need, doubling their tours of duty, screwing over the wounded, sneaking the dead home in the middle of the night and hiding their true numbers? They're killing soldiers and demoralizing the rest with this insanity.

This is deliberate policy to not just destabalize, but to destroy this country and replace it with a giant, shiny prison. It's a long term agenda to institutionalize fascist tyranny. We've gone through hell for 5 years but we haven't seen anything yet.
The horror is just beginning.

and Tearing Down America To Rebuild It For The NWO
"The bulldozer work on America's freedom is all part of a carefully planned and scheduled demolition."

update - To underscore how the soldiers in the line of fire are getting screwed, the site Soldiers For Truth is reporting how the army and the marines won't let them deploy if they have non issue body armor like Pinnacle's Dragon Skin. And if they wear their personally purchased stuff and get killed, their loved ones wouldn't collect from the $400,000 SGLI life insurance policies. The Dragon Skin is apparently far superior.

But guess what? 9 generals in Afghanistan are wearing it for "evaluation".

The only armor allowed by the army and marines is the Interceptor OTV, which is shit. - Interceptor OTV Body Armor Cost Lives, An Internal USMC Reports Shows

Death of an American Hero

by Robert Parry at consortiumnews.com

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

excerpt:

In one of the darkest moments of modern American history – on March 16, 1968, in the Vietnamese village of My Lai – Thompson landed his helicopter between rampaging U.S. soldiers and a group of terrified Vietnamese villagers to save their lives.
Thompson ordered his helicopter door gunner, Lawrence Colburn, to shoot the Americans if they tried to harm the Vietnamese. After a tense confrontation, the soldiers backed off.
For siding with Vietnamese civilians over his American comrades, Thompson was treated like a pariah. He was shunned by fellow soldiers, received death threats for reporting the war crime, and later was denounced by one congressman as the only American who should be punished for My Lai.

Link

The word "hero" gets big play these days. It seems that you can get called a hero for just doing your job, for instance. Probably the worst misuse of the word comes when it's applied to victims of a bad situation or an accident, as if we should venerate being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Or maybe it's when we idolize false heroics, like when some fraud gets landed on a carrier deck and struts around with a codpiece.
To me a legitimate hero sizes up a situation and at considerable risk takes action to prevent tragedy. I heard about this incident but didn't know the guy's name. He was a hero.

And then there's this: Revenge Of The Mutt People

"Lots of Americans don't seem to mind having a pack of young American pit bulls savage some flyblown desert nation, or running loose in the White House for that matter, as long as they are our pit bulls protecting Wall Street and the 401-Ks of the upper middle class."

5 Stories

We're being nibbled to death by ducks. Bleeding to death from a thousand wounds. Slowly boiled in that pot of water along with all those other frogs.
Just cruising the data highway for a few minutes, the only conclusion a person can come to is that the system we are living in is collapsing into a repressive living hell.

1. A guy sold a whopping 24 ounces of pot in three sales and got 55 years in prison with no hope of parole. The heinous crime was exacerbated by a gun in his pocket. His appeal was "accompanied by an amicus brief, filed by four former U.S. attorneys general (Janet Reno, Benjamin Civiletti, Griffin Bell and Nicholas Katzenbach), former FBI director William S. Sessions and nearly 160 other ex-Justice Department officials and federal judges, arguing the sentence was so excessive as to constitute "cruel and unusual punishment."
The precedent for this case? The presumption of guilt keeps you behind bars.
http://www.freemarketnews.com/WorldNews.asp?nid=5214

2. Our betters are spying on us relentlessly, violating the constitution and there is nothing at all we can do about it.
http://kurtnimmo.com/?p=185

3. The IRS can withhold your income tax refund for whatever reason they want, for years or forever. They won't even tell you about it and it's up to you to prove you deserve your own money.
http://www.freemarketnews.com/WorldNews.asp?nid=5213

4. "Annoying someone via the Internet is now a federal crime. It's no joke. Last Thursday, President Bush signed into law a prohibition on posting annoying Web messages or sending annoying e-mail messages without disclosing your true identity."
Presumably when I say in this blog that the moronic piece of shit that resides in the white house should be impeached and go to prison, and said POS takes offense, I'm breaking the law and will do serious time myself.
http://news.com.com/Create+an+e-annoyance,+go+to+jail/2010-1028_3-6022491.html

5. The filthy treatment of New Orleans residents and the land grab go on and the corrupt mainstream media continues to ignore it all. Thousands are dead but that don't mean shit. But little boots will pull off one of his phoney photo ops and that non story gets big play.
http://rense.com/general69/what.htm

So justice is nonexistent in the courts, the fascists have free rein to violate your privacy, everything you own can be stolen by the government, free speech is now outlawed, and corporate media won't tell you the truth about any important subject.
Oh well, there's always

SALT LAKE CITY -- A movie theater owned by Utah Jazz owner Larry Miller abruptly changed its screening plans and decided not to show the film "Brokeback Mountain." The film, an R-rated Western gay romance story, was supposed to open Friday at the Megaplex at Jordan Commons in Sandy, a suburb of Salt Lake City. Instead it was pulled from the schedule.
A message posted at the ticket window read: "There has been a change in booking and we will not be showing 'Brokeback Mountain.' We apologize for any inconvenience."
Gayle Ruzicka, president of the conservative Utah Eagle Forum, said not showing the film set an example for the people of Utah.
"I just think (pulling the show) tells the young people especially that maybe there is something wrong with this show," she said.

Way to go, Gayle! Censoring a highly acclaimed movie because it doesn't fit in your narrow little world view is going to definately stop people from wanting to see it, you betcha.

Author of "Bush's Brain" put on No Fly List

Still feeling like we live in any kind of a free society?
The author James Moore, whose book "Bush's Brain" was made into a chilling documentary, found himself on homeland security's no fly list. Gee, his Islamic sounding name must have been the giveaway.

"I have been on the No Fly Watch List for a year. I will never be told the official reason. No one ever is. You cannot sue to get the information. Nothing I have done has moved me any closer to getting off the list. There were 35,000 Americans in that database last year. According to a European government that screens hundreds of thousands of American travelers every year, the list they have been given to work from has since grown to 80,000."

Now We All Know The Truth

US military forces are never going to leave Iraq. It's been well known for several years that the military was building 14 bases around the country. But this revelation should show anybody the true reason for invading a non threatening country, slaughtering innocent people and putting American troops in harms way - EXCLUSIVE: BILLION DOLLAR BUNKER

Several "superbases" are going to be built with "15ft blast walls and ground-to-air missiles and the main building will have bunkers for use during air offensives.
The grounds will include as many as 300 houses for consular and military officials.
And a large-scale barracks will be built for Marines who will protect what will be Washington's biggest and most secure overseas building."

"You may as well move the Pentagon to Iraq. It will be amazingly secure but it also flies in the face of claims American is preparing to leave Iraq to be policed and governed by Iraqis."

The money is going to come from Iraqi oil revenue that was supposed to go to rebuilding the country.

Tell us once again, you lying scumbags, how we all got to this nightmare. Tell us about your mythical boogabooga weapons. Tell us about that made up nuke program. Open your smarmy pieholes and tell the world again how we're going to make Iraq a better place instead of the smoking, irradiated ruin you've turned it into. Shit all over us with the lie that this wasn't done for the oil.
And don't forget to lie again about how we're drawing down and about to hand the country over.

A Gestapo Administration

"September 11, 2001, played into neoconservative hands exactly as the 1933 Reichstag fire played into Hitler's hands. Fear, hysteria, and national emergency are proven tools of political power grabs. Now that the federal courts are beginning to show some resistance to Bush's claims of power, will another terrorist attack allow the Bush administration to complete its coup?
Bush has actually declared it treasonous to reveal his illegal behavior. His propagandists, who masquerade as news organizations, have taken up the line: To reveal wrong-doing by the Bush administration is to give aid and comfort to the enemy."

Excuses Don't Cut It

Twenty years ago I nearly lost mrs lipstick in a traffic wreck. Two days after marrying her a ditzy chick ran a red light while she was using the mirror to put her makeup on and they collided, totalling my wife's car. In the days that followed we got constant phone calls from said chick and her husband, blubbering their sorries. Even got a bouquet of get well balloons. The upshot was that since she didn't mean to run the red light, well, couldn't we just forget it all happened?

Where I work there's a guy who thinks along the same line. He'll screw up and think of some excuse to somehow justify it in his own head, and if he's satisfied, well, why can't we all be satisfied? He takes his cue from the big cheese who reasons much the same. If the tools aren't there to do the job correctly, well, the resources just had to be diverted. Couldn't help it. If there aren't enough people on a shift, well, the missing workers just didn't catch that last minute schedule change. And on and on.

All this justification don't mean shit. The end results matter. "By their actions you shall know them". People get fucked up in a car wreck. People are overworked and you have to scramble to make do when someone else neglects to do their job.

This is the mantra by which the criminal scum in Washington live and breathe.
9/11 just happened to happen but how was I to know?
Going to war and slaughtering the innocent was based on, well, what they told me.
Snooping, eavesdropping and spying on you is good for you because I say it's good for you.
Pure and utter bullshit. The scumbags are pissing on our rights, sending our sons and daughters
to be maimed and die for corporate greed and are destroying everything that gets in their way. And lame ass justifications do not cut it.
